Embodied Communication Practice

Brain.jpg

Do you often feel that your communication patterns remain unclear? Do you often feel misunderstood? Are you reluctant to set boundaries with others? Are you unsure exactly where misunderstandings arise? Would you like to discover just how much clarity and attentiveness there is in your listening and your communication style? However, you don’t want to spend ages talking about it, but rather gain direct insights?

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

When conducted as a group, Embodied Communication Practice is a form of embodied communication training designed to boost self-confidence in communication, the ability to set boundaries, and body awareness. The way we establish contact is often neglected. ECP is a suitable training programme for this. We'll use a room with plenty of space and a safe atmosphere. Please come dressed in clothing that allows for movement. I will guide you and use various bodywork methods for a gentle warm-up, to establish and shape contact, and we will discuss the experiences verbally.

Emotions: function-effect-regulation

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Why emotions? How do emotions function – functionally or dysfunctionally? How can I use my emotions in a helpful way? How can I regulate my emotions in situations where this is necessary? How can I strengthen my ability to regulate my emotions in general? (Input + practical application)

 Teams, 3–20 people, 2 hrs.

Slowness as an opportunity

Brain.jpg

Are you rushing from one appointment to the next? Do you feel trapped on the hamster wheel? Do you often feel as though you’re just reacting rather than taking action? Many people feel exactly the same way – the fast pace of our everyday lives has caught up with you too. Would you like to break this pattern? See and experience new things? Build your resilience?

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Through simple exercises, you will learn to see slowness as an opportunity – particularly when external pressures are urging you to hurry. In the workshop, you will first experience the benefits that slowness can bring; you will discover all the things you can do better when you take your time. You will also learn some simple tools that you can then incorporate into your everyday life time and again.

Boosting confidence

Brain.jpg

Do you feel that, at crucial moments, you lack the inner and/or outward self-confidence needed to be persuasive? Would you like to develop more of this in the long term?

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

We'll work on three things: emotional balance (internal), body language (external) and the power of argument (internal and external).

 Dealing with complexity

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Complexity is a fact of life. It has not increased, but it has become more visible. We can neither ignore nor control it; instead, we should recognise it as both an opportunity and a challenge, and find appropriate ways of dealing with it.

Where and how does complexity manifest itself? What does it mean for decision-making and management options? Which parameters should be accepted, and which should be utilised? (Input + practical application)

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Embodiment forms the bridge between ‘experiencing’ (physically) and ‘understanding’ (the brain).

From an evolutionary perspective, movement and feeling were our first ‘language’ in the sense of sensing and expressing – even before speaking and thinking. And because, for example, emotions manifest primarily in the body, even though they originate in the brain, proactively engaging with and utilising the embodiment bridge is not only necessary but also sensible, and in many cases acts as a shortcut. How and when can you use embodiment effectively?

Managing conflicts

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Conflicts are natural – because we are all different. This is a good thing and productive, yet it also leads to friction. It is important neither to ignore nor to glorify conflicts. It requires the flexibility to recognise the productive side of a conflict (What does it show us? Where is this leading us?) as well as to put a stop to it when it becomes dysfunctional (Who can do this? What form does this need to take? (Input + practical application)

Subject and team days

Kraft-Symbol.jpg

Are you planning a team day or a specialist workshop and need an external facilitator so that you can focus on the content, ensure that as many voices as possible are heard, avoid running over time, and still achieve effective results?

I’d be happy to facilitate the event for you – with clarity, humour and a focus on objectives.

Testimonials:

"Mathis is a remarkable facilitator who really connects with people. Thanks to his strong emotional intelligence, he intuitively understands team dynamics. I really appreciate how he incorporates body-oriented techniques, which make it easier not only to understand the lessons but also to truly feel them. Mathis quickly gets to the heart of every issue, making every session with him both effective and insightful. Thank you, Mathis, for your wonderful work.”

Benefits:

“Learning to gently let go of insecurity when interacting with others. / Rediscovering fellow human beings as a source of inspiration. / The HOW you make contact determines the WHETHER and HOW the other person accepts or reacts. That’s really helpful for successful communication. / I’ve learnt that what others think of me isn’t all that important, and that I can be much more myself – and that feels right and easy. / I’ve noticed that the clearer my signals and communication are, the clearer the response I receive. / It’s OK to say ‘no’ without having to justify yourself! / Don’t project your own thought patterns onto others!”
